As you know Shazam and I have been getting rid of crap in the soon to be nursery. Some of the things are being trashed, some donated, and some sold on craig.slist. It is so great to get some cash for items that we no longer need or use. We sold our full sized mattress last week and Shazam's neglected golf clubs yesterday. The man who bought the clubs said the most annoying thing. Shazam introduced me as her wife which he seemed fine with. When he asked why she was selling she said that we were clearing out some things since her wife was pregnant. He then looked at me and said, "How did you manage that?" How rude! I replied "My wife, she's that good!" That seemed to shut him up!
We will be picking up the bassinet for the stroller on Sunday. I am so excited. As Shazam said we both inquired about the bassinet and I was told that the seller was going with someone who would pay her asking price. I was so sad we didn't get it and the whole day I was hoping that the full price buyer was my wife (Shazam did email me to to tell me she got it but I missed the email). I was so happy when I found out we got it! What a bonus, from disappointment to joy all in one day all over a silly stroller accessory. Now I need the rest of the stroller so I can reach stroller nirvana.
I have a blood test today. It is the second part of the bloodwork for the nt scan. We have an ultra sound and Drs appointment on Tuesday the 14th. I am very excited to see the baby again. If we wanted to find out the gender this would be the ultra sound but we are letting that be a surprise so we will be just checking out how much he/she has grown in the past few weeks. How fun. I am interested to see how the baby is measuring. At the nt scan I was measuring behind (not so much to worry but I would like to make sure we are progressing). The Dr. said that since the fetus was all curled up it was hard to get an accurate measurement sometimes and also I could just be having a small baby. Which since I was only a 5 pounder would make some sense. We will have to see.
Oh and I have to apologize to the avocado. It seems that the stomach bug is going around school. Several people that went on the bus trip to Fo.xwoods last Friday have come down with it. So I think I have indeed turned the corner and Monday's sickness was a virus and not my problem child. Sorry Cado that I jumped to blaming you, although you have been pretty guilty of making me sick over the last three months!
Hope everyone has a great weekend. I am hoping that we make some progress on the nursery. It makes me feel calm when it looks more like a baby can live in there.

Bravo! The perfect response to your rude craigslist guy. People have no tact.
I hope you get some great pictures on Tuesday!
It's great that you got those golf clubs sold, but what a rude jackass that guy was! Seriously.
Keep growing, Avocado!
"How did you manage that?" How rude! I replied "My wife, she's that good!"
AWESOME. Perfect, quick and witty response. People can be so ignorant and rude.
Glad to hear you're feeling a little better!
I love reading your blog b/c you are and I are so close in due date. I'm due 9/12... so the development of our baby and bodies are very similar. We also started to sell some stuff that we just don't need. I'm going to the bank today to put the $$ in savings before I go spend it. :) We have our next U/S on Friday, and we plan on finding out the sex... good for you that you can wait!..
Have a good weekend..and I'll keep following your blog...:)
